Zoe Half Zip PDF Sewing Pattern

The Zoe half zip is an oversized pullover with a zipper. The fully lined collar extends to the bottom of the zipper, and makes a fun detail in this multifunctional half zip. It features a dropped shoulder and the sleeves are finished with a regular or elastic hem. The back comes with two options, the back in one piece or the back with a yoke. To suit your every need, the Zoe also comes in three length options (cropped, hip and long) and two sleeve length options. The cropped length can be finished with a regular hem, a drawstring, or elastic, while the hip length offers a regular hem, elastic, or elastic cord to make the hem adjustable. The long length is finished with a regular hem. All lengths have the option to add zipper pockets.

Fabric

For the shell: Light to medium weight woven fabric or medium weight knit fabrics. For example:

• Fleece (polar, sherpa, teddy)
• Sweatshirt
• Soft shell
• Taslan
• Ripstop

For the lining: Light weight woven fabric. For example:

• Taslan
• Ripstop
• Cotton
• Viscose
  

Notions

• 1x zipper (choose a zipper that suits the weight of your fabric. For medium weight fabric I recommend #5 zippers and for lighter weight fabric I recommend #3 zippers)
• 2x 15 cm (6") (choose a zipper that suits the weight of your fabric. For medium weight fabric I recommend #5 zippers and for lighter weight fabric I recommend #3 zippers). Note: if you are using zipper by the meter/yard, you need 2x 17 cm (6 3/4")
• 2 cm (3/4”) wide elastic (if desired for sleeve hem and/or bodice hem for cropped and hip length)
• Ribbon or cording for regular drawstring (if desired for cropped length)
• 3 mm (1/8") wide elastic cord (if desired for hip length)
• 1x cord stop with two holes (if using elastic cord)
• Optional: interfacing to stabilize the collar zipper
